Resource Smart Schools Annual Reports

Our RSS Annual Report is now available. As a school and a community we have much to be proud of. We have reduced our usage of all consumables across all modules. Please take a look at our Resource Smart Schools page and follow the links in the left hand column.

Parents and Friends Club

Our wonderful parent club is open for all members of our school community to join. ‘Parents and Friends’ of the school is a group of people who organise events for the kids and the school, participate in activities with kids, raise money and are a voice for parents on things that matter to them.

Classroom Helpers

Aireys Inlet Primary School love having helpers into our classrooms. If you are interested in helping please see your childs’ classroom teacher. A Classroom Helpers Course is run in term one each year. Participation in the program enables helpers to understand the process of learning and effectively support students in classroom activities

Outdoor Learning

Aireys Inlet Primary School is nestled between the bush and the ocean along the iconic Great Ocean Road. Our Schools unique location means we can deliver a comprehensive curriculum that provides many opportunities for students to engage in outdoor and nature-based learning activities, to support learning and enrich your child’s primary school experience.

We truly love ‘learning where we live’.

Research indicates children who’s learning is connected to the outside world have a most significant advantage in their learning, emotional and social outcomes.

Having an accessible outdoor space for the school community, together with enhanced teaching and learning, we can build self-esteem and resilience.

The school is in the final planning and construction phase of our Outdoor Learning Space Plan. Follow the link to see Concept Plans, consultation process and project overview.

Term 1 - Identity

Inquiry learning is an immersive way of allowing children to develop creative thinking and problem-solving. All year levels will investigate a particular topic, tying in all subjects. This term, students are looking at Identity and what that means to them.

Enrolments and Tours

We invite prospective families to discover what makes our school unique – from our comprehensive approach to educating and nuturing each student to our beautiful coastal bush setting with marine and bush sanctuaries on our doorstep.

After School Care

A safe, supportive and engaging out of school hours care (OSHC) program is run every school afternoon. The program is run by Camp Australia, Australia’s most experienced OSHC provider and offers a reliable and affordable after school care service for families.

Community

We are a warm and inclusive school, with many opportunities to get involved in your child’s learning journey. Inclusion and belonging is built through our connections with students, staff, families and the wider community. Students have a strong sense of belonging and connectedness to our school.

Sustainability

Our students learn about being environmentally responsible in all areas of their lives. As a result, sustainability and care for the environment are embedded firmly in the culture of the school. The school community’s passion around these issues is reflected in the teaching and learning programs. In addition to learning from local indigenous practices of caring for the land, the students frequently engage with local community and environmental interest groups. Working on different types of projects and understanding how they can make a difference.

Celebrate

The community of Aireys Inlet is big on celebration and our school is no different. At the end of every year we put on a “celebration night ” to send off our grade 6’s and acknowledge our achievements and the fun we’ve had for the year. Take a look…..
