Community
We are a warm and inclusive school, with many opportunities to get involved in your child’s learning journey. Inclusion and belonging are built through our connections with students, staff, families and the wider community. Students have a strong sense of belonging and connectedness to our school.
Aireys Inlet parents and carers are actively encouraged to participate in the school through our Parents and Friends Association, School Council and Classroom Helpers. Whether you wish to participate in fundraising, community consultations, governance or spending time in your children’s classroom helping out, we appreciate your time to help make our school as lively and engaging as we can. Grandparents, other family members and other people special to your child are also welcome.
Parent and Friends Association
‘Parents and Friends’ of the school is a group of people who organise events for the kids and the school, participate in activities with kids, raise money and are a voice for parents on things that matter to them.
School Council
All government schools in Victoria have a school council. They are legally constituted bodies that are given powers to set the key directions of a school within statewide guidelines. In doing this, a school council is able to directly influence the quality of education that the school provides for its students.
Classroom Helpers
At Aireys Inlet Primary School we welcome helpers into our classrooms. If you are interested in becoming a classroom helper please advise the classroom teacher of your availability and provide a copy of a current Working with children check (WWC) to the office.
